Decadently Healthy Hot Chocolate – GF, DF, P, V

I love making my own hot chocolate when I’m in the mood for something decadent and sweet. One mug of this will go much further in the satiety department than traditional hot chocolates thanks to delicious cacao butter (from the nut, not an actual butter!) and coconut milk. Mmmm.
Best paired with a great movie on a cozy couch.
4 cups water
2 cups full-fat coconut milk (or your non-dairy milk of choice)
6 tablespoons cacao powder
2 ounces cacao butter, finely chopped
6 tablespoons coconut sugar
(½ teaspoon ground nutmeg) – optional
(1 teaspoon vanilla extract) – optional
Heat water and non-dairy milk in a saucepan on medium.
Slowly stir in cacao butter, powder and coconut sugar until dissolved. Add in optional ingredients if desired. Let cool until mix reaches drinking temperature. Enjoy 🙂
